We are so excited to be offering our summer theatre experience for students in the Parkland School District!  This year we have expanded the workshops to include a wider range of ages and experience levels. 

MUST REGISTER BEFORE May 31st.  Spots are limited!  All payment will be requested by June 5th.  Please don't send payment until it's requested.

Workshops are held at Parkland High School auditorium and blackbox. **Student must be in Parkland School District to participate

WEEK ONE - June 17th-20th

MORNING SESSION ONLY  9:00am - 12:00pm - $180
Intro to Musical Theatre (students entering 4th & 5th)  Instructors: Lori Colacito & Kate Pistone

This workshop will give younger actors a chance to explore musical theatre through dance, games and song. Students will learn how to work as part of an ensemble and build basic acting techniques. This session will culminate with an invitation to families to watch what students have learned during the week

WEEK TWO - June 24th-27th

*Evening performance for all Week Two camps will be on 6/27.

MORNING SESSION  9:00am - 12:00pm - $180
Musical Theatre Showcase (students entering 6th-8th) Instructor: Kate Pistone

This will be an opportunity for students to perform in a musical revue featuring Broadway songs. Students will focus on vocal technique and acting through song.

Improv Comedy (students entering 9th-12th) Instructor: Lori Colacito

Actors will sharpen their skills through the art of improv and sketch comedy. 

AFTERNOON SESSION  12:30pm - 3:30pm - $180

Perfect for the young actor to learn beginning skills of character study, scene breakdown and performance. 

HILLSIDE AFTER SCHOOL

Young Actors Studio (grades 4th-8th) - $150

Mondays starting April 29th - May 20th afterschool 3:00 - 4:00 pm

This workshop is perfect for teens and tweens of all experience levels who want to strengthen their skills including new actors. We will go through many theatre basics using games, improv and scene work. The goal is to have fun and build acting confidence!

July 15th-19th

MORNING SESSION 9:00am - 12:00pm - $225 (students entering 3rd - 5th grade)

Musical Theatre Song & Dance An active camp for kids who love to sing and dance. This workshop will give young actors an opportunity to explore different aspects of musical theatre. Students will learn how to perform basic dance steps and sing with confidence. No experience required!

AFTERNOON SESSION  12:30pm - 3:30pm - $225

Young Actors Audition Boot Camp (students entering 6th-8th grade)
Perfect for any young actor who is looking to audition for their elementary & middle school production! We will work on character, song and dance basics plus give valuable audition tips that will get you noticed! Week ends with a mock audition with feedback from the instructors!

Auditioning Skills: High School and Beyond (students entering 9th - 12th grade)
Gain confidence for your next High School audition or in any audition setting! Bring a song your choice, or let us help you select one that suits your talent. We will go through audition basics and etiquette, as well as, give you valuable feedback during the end of the week mock audition. Tips on college auditioning, resumes and headshot advice also included!
